Re: help identifying a bike that is being purchased

Or, buy a rim logo for an Italian rim and stick it on :) I've seen them for sale on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RIM-STRIPES-WHEEL-DECALS-TAPE-STICKERS-GRAPHICS-KIT-CAR-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4aa4242d02QQitemZ320581414146QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories Any text you want

Re: Valve Sizes

I guess I better get a move on and remove my cam so I can measure it up then!! I just finished the first level of my workbench for the bike. I'm building a 12foot long workbench on wheels that has a lower level at one end for the bike to sit on and a higher level at the other end for me to work on c...

Re: Progress on the 450SCR

I'm back in Canada and have checked out prices for getting a seat cover made. Ouch!! We're talking mucho money! (US$200+!!) They just don't want to do small one-offs, so they price them so high that people will not go ahead. I'm going to get one from Amici dello Scrambler in Italy. They might be abl...

Re: Green White Cam

Hi Bob, Well, I'm finally back in the country. I had to stay an extra four weeks in Kazakhstan due to work requirements, but ended up coming home a little bit early as my wife had our first child 3 weeks early, and Dad was still out of the country! So here I am back in Canada ready to take out that ...

Re: winkle caps- how to?

Instead of using a stone, which may or may not be flat, try using a sheet of glass. Put the glass on a workbench and spray the glass with WD-40, then put on a sheet of sandpaper (start with 600 grit to see how easily metal will come off) and then spray WD-40 over the sandpaper. ALWAYS work in a figu...

Re: Front Wheel Parts

I've got a couple of Scrambler front wheels at home. I can have a look if they have the felt seals or not. If I end up having a spare felt seal, I'll send one down to you if you are still looking. I get back to Canada on Aug 26th. I was supposed to be home yesterday, but work asked me to stay in Kaz...

Re: 350 Scrambler Project - Vancouver, Canada

Thanks for the links Teckhardt! Man headlight parts are getting expensive! The best prices for new components that I've seen so far is through Amici Scrambler in Italy. I might end up doing a big order from them and just paying one lot of freight charges. We'll see what comes on fleabay in the next ...

Re: Green White Cam

Bob, I read the following with interest: Now while I myself have installed the White SCR-cam into (otherwise stock) 350-Scramblers, (with very-good results), I've never found one in any stock-350, and I doubt that any 350s were imported into the U.S.A. with this cam, (no doubt due to Berliner's whim...

Re: SCR seat cover

If getting more than one made gets you a better price, count me in for one. Mine is all brittle and falling to bits.
I was going to go to the local chopper builder and see where they get theirs done. I might still do that and see what they say.

Re: Green White Cam

Hi guys, There is no way to check for cam colour markings just by removing the rocker covers is there? Where exactly are the paint markings located? I ask this because my 350 Scrambler has an engine that seems to be a mix of Italian and Spanish, so is probably from the time when production was trans...
