Re: First Ducati

You could post a picture here. If your Ducati is close to stock then the fenders and bodywork may help forum members to identify the model followed by which years it was produced. If you post the engine serial number, that too may help to narrow the year. We'll also be able to tell if yours is a wid...

Re: Mototrans VIN

The Mototrans section was closed so as to bring Mototrans posts into this main discussion group. A big concern was that posts in the Mototrans section would not get enough views to illicit replies being as it was separated from Italian-made Ducatis and required more effort and time from members to r...

Re: direct replacement 6 Volt rectifier for Monza

A friend of the forum named Robert Ostman was kind enough to point out some mistakes I made when I created a schematic for the regulator. I believe Robert's schematic changes to be accurate and an improvement on what I had done and I thank him for his contribution as it will benefit us all. You will...

Re: direct replacement 6 Volt rectifier for Monza

My schematic is a little bit wrong. There are a pair of high power diodes and a pair of low power diodes. I will try to publish an updated schematic tonight. There is a very high likelihood that if one of the diodes has failed, it will be one of the high power diodes. Those diodes are out of product...

Re: regulator info

Could you post a picture? Your description isn't bringing to my mind anything I have seen before, but maybe with a photo I or someone else will recognize it.

Re: regulator info

Is it the regulator you are trying to replace? The black brick that mounts on the frame under the front of the saddle? I don't know of any replacements for it. It's only got two "active" components (semiconductors) inside: two diodes. The rest of it is just wire windings on a common iron c...

Re: Noisy...??? 250 Monza

You might think about taking a cell phone video and posting it here or on YouTube with a link here as the audio track may help forum members make a better diagnosis.

Re: New to the forum and vintage Ducatis

Welcome to the forum. I don't know that DellOrtos are as troublesome as their reputation would lead you to believe, I've only found the SSI29 to be temperamental and a bit crude insomuch as the amount of adjustments you can make to it are few. Perhaps my slide or the carb body are too badly worn to ...
