Re: Very low charge rate 250 NC 60w converted to 12v

I'm just throwing this out here for consideration. Ducwiz is correct. A 60-watt alternator is a 60watt alternator. It can't supply any more. Wattage = volts x amps, so a 6-volt 60-watt alternator can supply 10 amps (6 volts x 10 amps = 60 watts). If you convert the 6-volts alternator to 12-volts, it...

A non-member in the UK wishes to sell some parts

I received the following message in an email: Hi I'm an ex ducati single racer in the uk, in the process of selling my spares stash and projects. Best regards Phil Harris https://www.facebook.com/Ducati-Widecase-Single-Parts-519730148508126/ By rights I should place this in the 'for sale' forums and...

Re: 250 Racer Megaphone Fabrication

Wow! Brilliant video!

"I laughed, I cried."

"Four Stars"

"Better than The Godfather"

Seriously, you made it look easy, and that's the sign of a true craftsman. I am impressed. The result is beautiful.

Thanks for sharing that.

Provenance question (relayed from an email sent to Admin)

Thank you gentlemen, I saw a recent post by Jon Pegler, ( 7-23-2018) where he cites that Ducati engine #'s starting with 114,115,116 , are Spanish built motors. Thank you, I can now lay to rest my uncertainty about my little 250's motor. However, since I last inquired into this issue as to just what...

Re: Prices in Australia

In my non-professional opinion the price is currently a little on the high side for today's market, at least for now (2018) as you might still be able to get a rough condition round case 750 GT rider at that price. With the lack of bidding I think many people agree with me. Still though, I think tha...

250 narrowcase rear axle orientation info needed

I know, horizontal.... But I did not pay attention when I took the old bearings out. I am getting ready to put in a new bearing on the brake drum side of the rear hub. Between the bearings the axle which is shouldered becomes captive. I just realized that the axle is about 9mm longer (0.325 inches) ...
