Re: checking engine oil pressure

I’m working on a 66 Monza as well. The intake rocker was worn (now out for repair) so I suspect it was low on oil in the cam/rocker area.
Can anyone give me a procedure or so pictures link of this restriction mod so I can do it?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Monza 250 - 12 volt with Dyna Booster and points?

If you do the 12 volt conversion using the exiting 60 watt stator, what output wattage do you get?

Re: Monza 250 - 12 volt with Dyna Booster and points?

Thanks Hans, but the motor hasn’t run in more than thirty years, and is now mostly apart.
I’ve read that blog. Good stuff, but that combination is just too expensive for this project - up around 8 or 9 hundred Canadian by the time it gets here.

Re: Monza 250 - 12 volt with Dyna Booster and points?

My66 250 has a 12v conversion to the orrig stator(really simple to do) and is fitted with a Pazon cheap booster and points. The box is cable tied to the front downtube under the tank but is just visible enough to see the built in timing light. Easy to time, stronger spark ,small changes to timing i...

Monza 250 - 12 volt with Dyna Booster and points?

I’m researching the best - and most cost effective - 12 volt conversion and ignition combination for my 66 Monza 250 project. The Dyna Booster is a “go to” solution for BMW folks. Paired with the 12 volt alternator from Lacey Ducati - does anyone have experience with this combo? Does it work? I beli...

Re: New to the forum and vintage Ducatis

I also have a Monza which I added an AMAL Mk 1 Concentric carb to. I also added a Powerdyamo ignition and it runs great. The bike came with Ace bars which look good and are probably the only part of the bike that aren't original. If you have any questions feel free to ask. https://i.imgur.com/QcObW...

Re: New to the forum and vintage Ducatis

7/8 bars are .2mm fatter than 22mm. Found this out the hard way doing my BMW /5 - bought some Brit size bars and the controls, throttle tube etc. wouldn’t fit.

New to the forum and vintage Ducatis

I've bought (but don't have in hand just yet) a 1966 Monza 250. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171225/4ad9cb927738f2b602a74f0bbb4db33f.jpg It's in pretty good shape considering it'e been sitting for 30+ years - but in a shop. Has good compression and is pretty well complete. I'll probably ask a b...
