Re: Narrowcase crankcase screws

The lock wired bolts are next to each other under the sump and the lock wire has / had a lead seal.
Put there by the factory when the engine was built.
If the seal is there it signifies that the crankcase has never been split.

Re: direct replacement 6 Volt rectifier for Monza

If you are going for originality ignore this, if not have a look at Electrexworld website, whole kit converts to 12volt and many amps........by a happy converter.

Re: UK Ducati 250 mk3 1973

Hi Alex, If you are able to put a few pix of machine and details (such as, does it run) we could give you a rundown of what might need to be done and then you can judge how much you think it is worth.. Not many Ducati Singles in UK, lovely bikes though. I presume it is similar to this, this is my 35...

Re: Choke madness

Hi,
The choke on a 350 Mk3 1973 and 1964 Mach1.

The 350 is original, I can't be positive about the Mach1.

Re: Location Location!

Hi All, Great for the response, maybe keep this active and see if more UKers come out. I have seen the occasional single at Fetes and country shows in my area, and a few at Kop Hill, I shall put a note on any I see in future and recommend a visit to this site. There must be more out there! As an asi...

Location Location!

It is obvious that there are far more Ducati Singles in the USA than here in UK. I have yet to spot another single in my travels but did see a few in the Isle of Man at the classic TT last year. The Ducati club in UK are not really interested in singles or "old" Ducatis. This is the best s...

Re: LED headlamp conversion

I found that with the standard 6v system the led bulb I fitted pulsed at low revs and was not particularly any brighter than the original bulb. The led stated that it was 6-24v.
I purchased a 12v alternator system from ElectrexWorld and it transformed the light output and stopped the pulsing.

Re: Tyres for 250 m3

Hi Bevelbob,
I have Metzler Me22's on my 250 and have never had any nasty moments. They are so cheap I bought a spare set in case of a price rise after Br*x*t!
