Re: Rear shock disassembly and/or rebuild?

I rebuilt 2 pairs of shocks recently with that kit (incl shafts) Was pretty straight forward.

I ended up putting a set of Ikon's on the rear of my scrambler recently though. Big improvement over the standard shocks. :-)

250 N/C Bevel Gear Replacement

So I started pulling my N/C Scrambler motor down to install the new Electrix alternator, and I thought I'd also whip all the engine covers off and check clearances etc, as the motor only has ~200kms on it since being build (I purchased the bike with 0kms on it) Unfortunately it looks like the bevel ...

Re: Opinions? 12v Electronic Ignition on Scrambler or Mach 1?

Thanks for the reply Mike! Thanks also for posting those articles! Perhaps we should link them in the tech section? I bought the full Elextrix kit incl the CDI, but I haven't installed it yet (waiting on a few other parts) My plan is now to install just the alternator & R/R part of the kit into ...

Re: Opinions? 12v Electronic Ignition on Scrambler or Mach 1?

Thanks Bob, you're right re: the Mach 1 ignition/charging system. My bad  Am I able to install an alternator kit into the Scrambler motor to replace the magneto setup? I've got this kit on the way. It's the 120w alternator kit with switchable 6V/12V reg/rec and CDI ignition & coil etc. May...

Opinions? 12v Electronic Ignition on Scrambler or Mach 1?

The 6v magneto on my N/C 250 Scrambler has failed. I've ordered a full 12v electronic ignition kit from Electrex World. However, the 6v system in my Mach 1 is still strong. Would I be better off putting the 60w/6V magneto from the Mach 1 into the Scrambler, and then running the Mach 1 with the 12v i...

Re: N/C 250 Motorscross (Scrambler) Seat

Yeah I saw your one on ebay. It's a bit too rough for me though.

Matt, the link you posted is dead and I a google search didn't find anything similar :-(

N/C 250 Motorscross (Scrambler) Seat

Does anyone have a source for the early N/C 250 Motocross (Scrambler) seats or seat bases? My 1965 bike came to me with the late model W/C seat and I'l like to find an original style one. This is my bike currently with the W/C seat. http://liveimages.quicksales.com.au/quicksales/general/content/gc49...

Re: dm250 m1s

This is a great thread! I'd like to do some M1/SC style upgrades to my Mach 1, and I'm looking at replacing the original steel rims with a set of Borranis as found on the M1/SC. Phil's stated that his are 19"though as opposed to the standard 18". Is this correct? How do they go regarding c...
