Frame
Cleaning away the oil impregnated dirt from the frame revealed a weld-repaired engine mounting tab on the frame tube above the swing-arm mounts. Because the engine is a stressed member of the frame, I considered this repair critical.
My guess is the engine was left in place for this weld.
The old weld was ground off the outside, and the new weld was done along the inside of the engine mount:
