Ducati Singles

Single Cylinder Ducati Photo Gallery

Ducati single's engines and their frames are categorized as either narrowcase or Widecase. This is a reference to the width of the rear engine mounting casting.  Earlier models are narrowcase, later models are Widecase.  The transition from narrow to wide occurred around 1968.
Ducati cylinder heads are categorized as either having 'springer' (normal) valves or desmodromic valves.
Ducati motorcycles are generally categorized as road bikes or street scramblers.
A "Bitsa" is a non-stock bike using bits of different models or custom pieces.
